Description: Every year in the United States, fires cause huge losses. There are approximately 1 million fires in buildings and other structures, about 8000 deaths each year. The total annual property loss is about $7 billion, not counting indirect costs such as litigation, investigations and so on. Workplace fires and explosions kill 200 and injure more than 5,000 workers each year. However many, if not most of these fires are preventable. The focus of our training today is to look at how to prevent and protect against workplace fires.
