Upon completion of this module the student will understand basic information about PLCs including their history, understand the basic hardware components associated with PLCs, understand principles of PLC operation, understand applications of PLCs in the natural gas industry, and understand peripheral devices used with PLCs. The student will gain a basic understanding of ladder logic and other skills associated with programming PLCs.
